I think those who have played for any decent period will know all there's to do about mounts. But beginners might not be very clear relating to this aspect once they first play ESO. So, this informative guide is primarily aimed toward those types of players. Let’s learn all there's to do with mounts, ways to get one, and the way to upgrade it.

What Is A Mount?

Let’s begin with what the amount is.

For those people who are new to the MMO crowd and more importantly ESO, mounts are the noble steeds, essentially only a faster and smoother method of traveling around the massive world that's Tamriel.

ESO offers this type of great variety of mounts to the player whether that be horses, tigers, and lions, wolves, some strange beast from Morrowind, goats, and rams plus some otherworldly creatures. This contributes to some great individuality in the game because there are so many mounts available. Every player might be using different things.

How To Get A Mount?

So, let’s set you track of your initial mount, shall we?

Luckily, ESO offers brand new players a free mount with the Level Up Rewards. It’s a brown horse. Now, even though this might not suit some characters. It’s great to help you get up and running and also to start upgrading while you can’t change your mount if you don't have one equipped. So, equip this mount even though you don’t enjoy it as it enables you to begin the upgrade process.

Apart from might maybe the odd achievement reward from the DLC, the majority of the mounts in ESO are behind a paywall, in both Crown Crates or simply in the Crown Store. So, you've your favorite mount equipped, or maybe just the brown horse and you've returned to the Stables.

How To Upgrade Your Mount?

When speaking towards the Stablemaster, you can upgrade three different categories: Speed, which is your overall mount speed; Stamina, which is how long your mounts can sprint for and just how much damage it will take before throwing you off; and finally, Carry Capacity, without any relevance towards the mount, but, is the inventory space.

You can upgrade one of these simple three for 250 ESO Gold once daily. Simple as that. So, it might take you an overall total of 180 days to completely upgrade the amount, as I have done here.

There tend to be more ways to upgrade a mount, however: one being with the Assault skill line available through PVP; one passive for the reason that skill line will grant you, Major Gallop, one hundred percent of the time, upping your mount speed by 30%, that is a huge noticeable difference.

Another strategy is through Champion Points. For example, Gifted Rider increases your mount speed by another 10% and War Mount will remove all mount Stamina costs beyond combat. Essentially, while you’re from combat, your mount has infinite Stamina.

That brings us to the end of the super simple and quick guide. I hope to determine a few more individuals on mounts now, as well as upgrade them at Stables.
