TOWN BUILDING PHASE 1
EVACUATION PLAN & FIRE EMERGENCY

1.0 INTRODUCTION.
This Ecacuatuon plan & Fire Emergency explains briefly the fire protection systems operating in E. Town building Phase 1 and the procedures to be adopted by tenants in the evacuation exercise in the event of fire.

1.1 Objectives.
The objectives of the Fire Emergency Plan are :
a. To ensure the safety of human lives in the event of fire.
b. To establish a systematic and orderly evacuation plan.
c. To ensure prompt raising of the fire alarm and marshalling of first-aid anh fire – fighting efforts in the event of fire.

1.2 Formation of Committees.
Two committees shall be formed to achieve the above objectives. They are :
- The Fire Safety Committee; and.
- The Fire evacuation Committee.
A. Fire Safety Committee
This Committee plan activities such as fire evacuation drills, fire safety education training, fire safety exhibition, etc, to enhance the fire safety awarenness among the tenants of E. Town building Phase 1.
The committee shall comprise the following :
Chairman Property Manager
Vice Chairman Chief Engineer.
Committee Member Building Supervisor
Committee Member Security Supervisor
The Functions of the Fire Safety Committee are listed in Appendix I
B. Fire Evacuation Committee.
This Committee is responsible for the systematic and orderly evacuation of occupants, including marshalling of first-aid and fire-fighting activities in the event of a fire. The committee shall comprice the following :

4. Fire-fighting Team Senior Security Officer
5. Assembly Point In-charge Building Supervisor
6. Logistic Support In-charge M + E Supervisor
7. First-Aid Centre In-charge Technician/Security Officer
8. Public Enquiry Port In-charge ASST Property Officer
9. Public Address Announcer Tenants Relation Officer/Receptionist
The duties and responsibilities of committee are listed in Appendix II
