The god artifacts exist to
OSRS gold create planes and were eventually mostly phased out, the Heart of Gielinor does not appear to fit that at all. Given it's nature it seems to just be a huge amount of anima so I would sooner suspect this is the"main route" if you may. Our world which will be feasted upon by the elder god's children's anima that is the yok. However I could believe they used the template in order to make its protector Telos.
It seems the desert has a LOT of things BUT Tumeken that are god-like items based on things that are present or religions. Dogs, Scarabs and Scabaras, Crocodiles and Crondis, Het and Monkeys, Apmeken and humans, as you pointed out the center and Telos and the river, Amascut and cats, Icythlarin and elidnis is another one that is possible. Heck even Amascut finally created 3 corruptive spirits using voice, the sight, and hearing Apmeken and proceeded.
That reminds me there's another theme where it feels that the beings are connected and cause a feedback affect, like. Telos and the heart, Elidnis and the river the desert monkeys dropped one of their senses when Apmeken did, when Crondis failed, the crocodiles became greedy, and when Het had been lost humans started to have poor health. So this is my theory.
The template is a classic artifact that can use 1 or more creatures/things as blue prints to generate new things/beings. The template would be for carrying the different elements of things they desired and combining them to make something with the possessions of both 36, where the mirror was for replicating things throughout world development.
Someone Tumeken used the template but I'm skeptical, to make Elidnis from the river. Maybe nobody used it even maybe the artifact kind of has been running and made its own thing. He gained control of this template and learned when Tumeken and Elidnis fulfilled. The two wanted children so they used a part of a dog, a cat, and these in the template to make Amascut and Icythlarin. These beings possessed some power but also attributes of the animals they had been established in.
Later on for reasons not known to us his own character was utilized by Tumeken with 4 additional creatures and the template. Scarabs, Crocodiles, Monkeys to make this desert pantheon's 4 lesser gods, and People. Their kids were allowed to stay and Guthix banished Elidnis, although afterwards Tumeken blew himself up making the desert. Amascut seized her opportunity to try and
Cheap RS gold bring destruction and war to the desert although the lesser gods foiled her plans so she had to do something.
