Essay topic: The difficulties in learning English and how to overcome

-from the outset. For me, I had to overcome these problems when I started learning English.

-English pronunciation is my first obstacle. The pronunciation in English puzzles me a lot because the same letter has different sounds. For example the letter “a” in “bath” is not pronounced in the same way of that in “bathe”. The “ou” in “South” is also different from “ou” in “Southern”. Generally verbs and nouns are pronounced differently although they are written the same. Record is a good example to illustrate it.

-In order to solve this puzzling question I carefully study The A.P.A (The International Phonetic Alphabets) which helps me pronounce English words correctly.

-In order to have an accent just like the native speakers, I often listen to tapes,download many toppics listening on the internet to my mobile ...and repeat after them, trying to imitate them. Moreover, my everyday conversation with the foreigners I meet in the street will enable me to acquire a proper accent.

-Compared with French, English grammar is much easier. However, this does not mean that learners meet no difficulties in learning it. It took me a long time to learn how to master the tenses in English grammar, to endeavor to do as many grammar exercises as possible and read various grammar books.

In writing English, English language has its own style. In order to drill writing skills, I have tried to read short storys,topics and so on ...on the internet,in the websites VOA -VOA special english,english for tourism...etc

-After long and hard years of English study, how pleased I feel when I am able to read English without any obstacles and difficulties at all.

-từ khi bắt đầu. Đối với tôi, tôi đã phải vượt qua những vấn đề này khi tôi bắt đầu học tiếng Anh.

-Tiếng Anh phát âm là trở ngại đầu tiên của tôi. Cách phát âm tiếng Anh trong câu đố tôi rất nhiều bởi vì cùng một lá thư có âm thanh khác nhau. Ví dụ chữ "a" trong "tắm" không phát âm giống như cách của rằng trong "tắm". Các ou "" trong "Nam" cũng khác nhau từ "ou" trong "Nam". Nói chung động từ và danh từ được phát âm là một cách khác nhau, mặc dù chúng được viết như nhau. Bản ghi là một ví dụ tốt để minh họa cho nó.

-Để giải quyết câu hỏi này đánh đố tôi cẩn thận nghiên cứu của APA (Các phiên âm quốc tế Alphabets) giúp tôi phát âm từ tiếng Anh chính xác.

-Để có một giọng giống như người bản ngữ, tôi thường nghe băng đĩa và lặp lại sau khi họ, cố gắng để bắt chước họ. Hơn nữa, tôi hội thoại hàng ngày với người nước ngoài tôi gặp trên đường phố sẽ cho phép tôi để có được một giọng thích hợp.

-So sánh với tiếng Pháp, tiếng Anh ngữ pháp là dễ dàng hơn nhiều. Tuy nhiên, điều này không có nghĩa là học viên không đáp ứng được những khó khăn trong việc học nó. Tôi mất một thời gian dài để tìm hiểu làm thế nào để làm chủ tenses về ngữ pháp tiếng Anh, để cố gắng làm càng nhiều càng tốt các bài tập ngữ pháp và đọc sách ngữ pháp khác nhau.

-Trong văn bản tiếng Anh, tiếng Anh ngôn ngữ có phong cách riêng của mình. Để khoan kỹ năng viết, tôi đã cố gắng đọc storys ngắn, các chủ đề và vv ... trên internet, trong các trang web VOA-VOA đặc biệt Tiếng Anh, Tiếng Anh cho ngành du lịch ... vv

-Sau nhiều năm dài và khó khăn của học tiếng Anh, tôi cảm thấy hài lòng khi đọc tiếng anh mà không có bất kì sự trở ngại nào cả

advantages and disadvantages 

-Among disadvantages of living in big cities, air pollution, traffic jam, and the high living cost are three main disadvantages.

 -Most big cities attract a lot of domestic investments as well as foreign investments inside and outside country, so the number of factories is increasing fast. This makes the air extremely polluted by smoke from factories, trucks, and motorbikes.

-As a result,there are more and more people get many serious diseases, such as lung cancer, tuberculosis and so on.

-Another disadvantage is traffic jam. There are a lot of people and transports in big cities, so traffic jam is an unavoidable problem. People can not go to work on time because they are always stuck for hours in rush hour.Besides, transport system which is stuck will cause a lot of serious problems. For example, ambulance and fire engine can not get in time to complete duty, so there is a big loss of humans and property. It also takes a lot of money of producers when their goods do not get in time.

-the cost of living in big cities is very high.Nowadays, the development of big cites is faster and faster, so these big cities become big economic centers of country. Because of that, public services such as health service, postal service, etc cost a lot. It will be difficult for the poor and workers to live in big cities because they have to pay too much for public services while their salary is too low

-In conclusion, with these main disadvantages, living in big cities needs to be considered carefully.

-Hầu hết các thành phố lớn thu hút nhiều đầu tư trong nước cũng như nước ngoài , do đó số lượng các nhà máy đang gia tăng nhanh. Điều này làm cho không khí cực kỳ ô nhiễm bởi khói từ nhà máy, xe tải, và xe máy.

I have never traveled by plane but I would like to and I hope to have the opportunity(cơ hội) very soon. Anyway(dù sao), one can find both advantages(sự thuận lợi) and disadvantages when traveling by plane.

The most important advantage is that is the fastest means of transport when referring(đề cập) to large distances.

Anyway, many people feel scared when it comes to fly with a plane. They say that the risks(rủi ro) to lose your life when traveling by plane are higher than the ones when traveling by car, for example. A crash(đâm sầm vào) is much more dangerous than an accident on a motor highway. They believe that in a car accident one can have the luck to have a broken leg(chân) or arm , whereas in a plane crash it is worse. In the majority(đa số) of cases(trường hợp) the plane explodes(phát nổ) and all passengers lose their lives.

Apart from this disadvantage, there are persons who don't choose to travel by plane because they have altitude(độ cao) sickness(bệnh) and they prefer(thích) other means of transport for long distances.

I am a person who loves to travel very much. I used to go to many interesting places in my country. Most of it were done by bus, motorcycle and also bicycle but were not by plane. That’s why I usually dream about an oversea travel by plane.

There are so many advantages and also disadvantages of making a trip by plane. Firstly, the most important advantage of using plane to travel is its fastness. It just takes some hours to move from HCMC to Ha Noi. For a car, it will be some days. People can do a lot of things in the time saved by using plane instead of car.

Secondly, traveling by plane is very safe. It is difficult to find a plane accident in the news but easy for a road accident. Flying in the sky without many barricades doesn’t have some problem such as digging road, “crazy bus driver” or congestion. Traveler will have a good sleep by using plane.

Finally, it is a convenience of traveling by plane. Nowadays, it is very easy to find a flight to everywhere in the world. With the development of aeronaut, people will have a lot of choices for their trip nowadays.

Beside its advantages, there are also many disadvantages of traveling by plane. To begin with, traveling by plane is very expensive. People just have to pay about 600 thousands VND for a car from HCMC to HN. It is about 3 millions VND for a plane. Making a trip by plane is not really a good choice for people who don’t have a lot money.

In addition, it will be unavailable for many people to travel by plane. In a very high height, airsickness will happen easily and it’s very terrible for all of traveler.

To sum up, traveling by plane has not only advantages but also disadvantages. However, in nowadays, time is the best property. That’s why using plane to travel is really a good choice for traveler around the world.
